This video presents a great way to get “Roll The Dice”, well… rolling! I write this because much of this blog will be about my journey through the startup world and the path that lead me here. I recently read an article on Mashable that mentions fixing young America through the startup industry. I cannot agree more with the author’s perspective as I myself have been inspired and motivated by a startup entity. My “push” came from an organization called Startup Weekend that hosts events to facilitate creation of startup companies over a weekend. In fact, it was at my first “startup weekend” that I found the team to launch Skilloop. Now is a perfect time to find solutions, not present problems; seek opportunities, not make excuses. I hope I see more organizations utilize Startup Weekend’s business model as these companies are the key to “Rediscovering the Entrepreneurial Spirit in All of Us”.

My first blog post recognizes Nick Shattuck as he inspired me to start this blog. Nick is an amazing friend and musician. I have only known him for a short while but we have had some great times during our journeys and stays in the awesome beach towns of southern California.

When he isn’t entertaining my team at Skilloop HQ, Nick can be seen performing Wednesday nights at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, CA. He is a passionate singer/songwriter with a strong voice and a knack for performing on stage. I dig his music and can’t wait for his newest album, set to debut this year.
